2016 will close with a scary gift to readers. I am just finishing a long essay on the metaphysics of clothes. Once finished, I will serialize it as three or four posts due to its size. It is an academic article that will appear in a collection of essays to honour the thinking of D. G. Leahy. Dave Leahy is not well-known as he was something of a philosophical “outsider artist,” so to say. His writing is complicated but he well-warranted that overused compliment, brilliant. As David’s work was so complicated the essay itself reflects that; it might not be every reader’s cup of tea. The essay’s topic is my reaction to David’s reaction to Agamben on the topic of clothes and vanity. Think of it as an elaboration of V&R Chapter 8.
