One year ago today V&R went active as a website with the monograph posted! Pictures in the text and blog followed just a few days later and since then V&R has been getting about 300 visitors a month. I know that is not a huge number remotely by internet standards but for a website about philosophical reflection on fashion, I think it’s great! It is certainly far more than ever read a print version of a philosophical monograph.
So, a huge thank you to all readers, and especially to those who pop by somewhat frequently. I am delighted.
As recently said, my hope going forward is to have readers leave more comments so I can engage more with your ideas, me to do a few more video posts, and perhaps to have a guest contributor once in a while. Maybe even another radio interview!
I will be teaching two classes on the ethics of the fashion industry in autumn so we’ll see how the website does as a textbook and teaching tool.
Thank you all!
A very happy 1st birthday to V&R! I’ve very much enjoyed reading the blog over the past year, and look forward to plenty more posts to come.
